Allen Schezar is one of the "Heavenly Knights" or "Knights Caeli" of Asturia. He's a great swordsmen and a man of honor. His strength is unparalleled. He is also the expert pilot of the guymelef Scherazade.

Allen also has a traumatic past of forbidden love and family problems. Allen was in love with one of Austria's princesses and secretly fathered a son. Furthermore, Allen's sister disappeared when he was young, his father left his family, and his mother died. He blames his father for it all of it. Even though Dilandau turns out to be Allen's sister, Celena, they still fight and hate each other for most of the series.

Allen also resembles Amano, Hitomi's crush from earth. Due to this, Hitomi is attracted to him. Although Allen does return her feelings, it would seem that he thinks of Hitomi as more of a sister than a lover.
