2007/02/27---Don't be afraid of the dark... and free conventions!

A belated pic and quote of the week are up! (Sorry!) The pic features Yuuko from XXXHOLiC. It's pretty self-explanatory. The quote comes from dub episode 58 of Naruto. Naruto says it to Gaara. It's a revealing quote because it shows that Naruto and Gaara are rather similar even though they have very different personalities. It's a quote I like both in the English and Japanese versions. "He can act like a demon if he wants to, because you know what? I've got the real thing inside of me!" -Naruto, Naruto Just letting you know that March TAC is coming up on the weekend of March 17th. It runs both Saturday and Sunday from 11:00am - 6:00pm at the Metro Toronto Convention Center. Guests include Chris Sabat, Colleen Clinkenbeard, Laura Bailey, and Jason Liebrecht. The best part? This year the convention is totally free! :D Check it out! Speaking of conventions, this weekend is Ad Astra in Toronto. Ad Astra is primarily a literary convention, but that's been changing in recent years. If you're into cosplaying and costuming, it's a pretty cool con to go to learn new tricks. 2007/02/17---The love! It burns!

First off, I'd like to wish you a belated Happy Valentine's day! ♥ Secondly, the new pic and quote of the week are up. Since I'm really late this week, they'll only be up for a few days. The pic features Sakura from Card Captor Sakura. The quote of the week is from the next episode preview at the end of dub episode 63. "Ino, your cheering is getting kinda scary." -Sakura, Naruto Thirdly, three cheers for Naruto Shippuden! Fourthly, there is no number four. Fifthly, it's been announced that a Tsubasa artbook will be released on April 18th entitled "Tsubasa Art Collection - ALBuM De REProDUCTioNS". Aw, CLAMP, you and your sticky caps... 2007/02/05---Canadian news and a dose of optimism

In Toronto-area news, the anime and manga association at York University, in conjunction with Toronto Public Libraries, is holding an anime ball on the eve of Valentine's Day. They encourage you to cosplay and will be offering prizes. Also, Emilie-Claire Barlow, one of the voices of Sailor Mars from Sailor Moon, will be in attendance as a guest. There will also be an anime showing. For those interested, the event will be held at the theatre of the York Woods Branch of the Toronto Public Library on February 13 from 6-8:30pm. Also in the news, Zannen, Canada reports that the CRTC has approved YTV's application for The Anime Channel. Moreover, G4TechTV Canada will be airing Tenjho Tenge, GunXSword, and Trigun. On a site-related note, the new pic and quote of the week are up. The pic features Haine from the Shinshi Doumei Cross manga and an optimistic message. The quote of the week comes from the Cell Saga of DragonBall Z. Trunks: I get it! Vegeta's trying to make Cell withstand his attack. Krillin: OK, that's one explanation. How about another?
