2007/03/21---Savers Dub, and RabuCon

Digimon fans: It seems that Digimon Savers is being dubbed. The English Toei website has a section up dedicated to it. Go to this website, click "shows", and select "Digimon Data Squad". If you read through the characters section, you'll notice some name changes, but nothing horrible. There is no confirmation that these will be the definite names used in the dub. For those of you dying for more information, check out this thread at WTW and the main page at the Digimon Enecyclopedia. All you manga fans: Here's a list you should hope your favorite manga is not on. In other news, there's a Lovely Complex anime coming out in Japan on April 7th. The official website can be found here. The opening theme will be sung by Tegomass. Random fact of the moment: Tegomass is a unit created by the mega "boyband factory" of Japan, Johnny's and Associates, which represents a disproportionately large amount of the popular young male talent in Japan. Tegomass is comprised of two Johnny's idols: Tegoshi Yuya and Masuda Takahisa. Both Tegoshi and Masuda are in the boyband NEWS, but after a series of drinking scandals (one in mid-2005 and another in early 2006), NEWS was forced to go on hiatus in early 2006. Tegomass was created during this hiatus and they released their debut single "Miso Soup" in both Japan and Sweden last fall. NEWS returned at the beginning of this year, and now Tegoshi and Masuda are balancing both NEWS and Tegomass. In site news, the new pic and quote of the week are up. The pic features Sailor Moon from the Sailor Moon manga. (Yay, for her legs being twice as long as her body! XD) The quote of the week comes from Eureka 7. It isn't the most uplifting quote, but I rather like it. 2007/03/11---Don't put all your eggs in a glass house

In the news... Canadian anime fans: Much Music is airing five-episode marathons of the anime BECK. Visit Zannen, Canada or ANN for details. ;3 ICv2 reports that the popular Japanese novel "Train Man" (Densha Otaku) will be released by DelRay on April 24th. According to the press release, Warner Bros. will be releasing the live-action "Speed Racer" film on May 9, 2008. It's written and directed by Larry and Andy Wachowski, who you may recognize as the brothers behind the Matrix trilogy. Comipress reports that manga sales in Japan are decreasing.
