PAN'S MARCH 2004 CON REPORT
MARCH 20-21, 2004
I'm warning you now, this was a bit of an "experimental" con report. o___O;
And so it begins... late as usual.
The day started bright and early for one sleep deprived Pan at the sound of her doorbell at 9:00am. Considering this particular Pan was supposed to be awake at 7:00am, but due to a power outage did not have her alarm clock go off, panic ensued.
><;
By the time I got out of the shower, Becky, her friend Kristen, Sakura, and Amanda were over, and soon after we left and headed to March TAC.
On the way there, a subway driver asked us to get on his subway so we could assist in amusing subway announcements, but due to time constraints, we declined and merely had innocent bystanders look at us funny.
Becky was dressed Senri from +Anima so she was wearing a cloak and a grey wig with beads in it. Sakura was wearing Becky's Cooro costume, Amanda was dressed as Eriol from Card Captor Sakura in the Alice in Wonderland episodes, and yours truly was dressed as the Ryoma, AKA Prince of Tennis from the show the Prince of Tennis. We sure made an interesting combination, although my costume might have past of as normal clothing if we weren't in Toronto and it wasn't so cold outside.
It amuses me that we take the subway for the soul fact of our own amusement as both Sakura and I can drive, but don't do anything to put our skills to use. *heh*
Anyway, we arrived safe and sound at the Toronto Convention Center and were only slightly late. The Art Show and Antique Show were going on at the same time, so the place was buzzing with older people who gave us many interesting looks. Someone asked who I was and I replied with "the Prince of Tennis", only to have the poor soul ask me if I meant "princess". *heh* On the plus side, we got to scare more people than we normally do and got to use the Antique Show's coat check. ^^;
March TAC was held in one of the basement sections so that's obviously where we ended up. I ran into Chapel right away and checked in. I also met up with Chris, who is the nice Vash cosplayer I met at November TAC. He was sitting with a few other people I knew, so I left my backpack with them and went to check out the dealer's room and get cosplayer photos.
Now for sake of my sanity, I will attempt to summarize the events of the convention in a short and sweet fashion. Oh, how I need to find a better way to write these things. ><;
Who, what, where.
The sheer amount of people I knew at this convention frightens me.
Chris -- AKA the nice Vash cosplayer I met at November TAC. He's a really nice guy and I hung out with him for a bit. ^^ I would just like to say that he has the coolest backpack ever. It had speakers attached to it, for goodness sake! *heart*
Animerag and Peter -- It was nice to see these two again. They found me relatively quickly on Saturday and I saw them throughout the con after that. These two have the most interesting hats. No really. Even though they don't look it, they're actually twin brothers... really. ^^; Sadly, Peter couldn't make it on Sunday, so I saw more of Animerag. He had a camcorder and was interviewing people, which I found very amusing. He interviewed Amanda and I too. I have pics of him interviewing Amanda somewhere. ^^; I saw him through most of the day.
Justin -- I met him at November TAC. He's one of the biggest Sailor Moon fans I know. He hung out with me for much of Saturday. He had an Artemis plushie with him and everyone was complimenting him on it. ^^ Anyway, I got to talk to him about this, that and the other thing, which was nice. Before the convention, he proposed to me, but more on that later. He gave me a birthday present and a chibi Sailor Pluto plushie (which now proudly hangs on my backpack). How sweet of him. ^^ Sadly, he didn't return on Sunday. Although I think Saturday was memorable in itself. ^^
Super Uber Anime Guy -- *heart* I didn't see him that much this con, but the time I did see him was definitely worth noting. He's always filled with insightful information and such creative ideas. (I promise to put your most recent idea to good use. And thanks for the cosplay buddies. You'll be seeing them again in the future. ^_~)
Mike -- If you ever run off with my backpack again, I will have your head. Ah well. At least you didn't try to kiss me. ><; Yes, yes, I know.
Larry's Friend -- Sorry, I didn't get your actual name. ><; I started talking to him on Saturday night about Saiyuki cosplay. We continued the conversation on Sunday, and then went off topic. It was nice to actually talk to him, since I had seen him around a few times in the past. ^^
Rin, P-chan, and that other guy (who I still don't know the name of ><;) -- Duklyon cosplay rules. ^^ 'Twas very nice to see all of you again. We don't get to see each other nearly enough. Rin, it was great to talk to you about this, that, and the other thing. Scott loves you for good reason. ^^ And other random guy person, the ribbon on your shirt will never cease to amuse me. ^^
Random Guy -- Yes, yes, I know your name is Matt (I actually remembered, huzzah!). I met him back at Anime North last year, and it was good to see him again. He tried to teach me how to play the Duel Masters card game and due to my lack of comprehension/attention-paying-ness, I remember nothing. Aw well. He gets bonus points for actually trying. ^^
Shinji -- He preformed two of my marriage ceremonies. ^^;
Saffi -- Her Jesse (Team Rocket) costume ruled. Seriously ruled. It was luffly to see her again!
Zero -- This was the first time I had seen my wonderful 26th husband since we got married at MAX. On Saturday, I helped him randomly give away manga, and hung out with him for much of the day. He gave me a Christmas present. No, really. It was wrapped with the words "Merry X-man, Pan" and everything. Inside was a Vash plushie. *hearts* Sankyuu~! Talked with him on Sunday. He's one of the smartest people I know. Sanity is a beautiful thing.
Becky -- It's ironic that we spend so much time together prepping for cons and then rarely see each other actually at the cons. ><; Aw well. Your +Anima costumes looked great. ^^
Sakura --The Kadsuki to my Juubei. If you went to the KikiWai booth, you probably saw her. I took photos of her on Sunday in a mini-photoshoot thingy. 'Twas fun.
Amanda -- On Sunday, she dressed as "Hippy MakubeX". She's also my self-proclaimed "buffer to the real world" for good reason, and I love her for it. ^^
Chapel -- My loving cameraman brother. He got stuck being my cameraman for my Prince of Tennis photoshoots. He also kicked but in Transformers trivia, but that was no surprise. We escaped for dinner on Saturday.
IDJIT -- I saw them for three seconds, but their outfits ruled. ^^
GLAY -- She made a great Tyson. Best Beyblade cosplay ever! ^^
Kira -- She didn't attend this convention since she's in Montreal, but she got more out of it than anyone I know. No, seriously. P-chan sent her like 64 e-mails, I screamed into the phone, but that's besides the point. Let's just say that very few fans have Scott McNeil call their homes. ^^;
Ash -- I can't believe I missed her on Saturday. She was only at the con for a few hours, and they happened to be hours I was in the panel of doom. ;___; She announced she'd be doing "mystery" Prince of Tennis cosplay, which turned out to be Rudolphian!Mizuki, and... and... I missed it! *burst out into tears*
Kevin -- Well, I vaguely knew him before this convention. I got to have actual conversations with him this time around. Ah, he's an absolute pleasure to talk to. Possibly because we have so many things in common, but more likely because he is so very insightful and witty. On Sunday, I ended up talking with him about airport security. It made my day.
Ashley and Mackenzie -- Also met them at November TAC. They were only there on Sunday, with funky hair extensions, so it's all good. ^^; Sadly, Sunday was kinda, ummm... boring, but I got to talk with them a bit, which was nice. Next con, we are sooooooo playing tag.
Steph (x2) -- I got to see the Stephs again. They bought Brad chocolates and stuff. They're his biggest fans. ^^
Pam -- The Kaidoh cosplayer, who I swear I've met somewhere else before. I scared her out of her mind when I first met her, but it's my fault for clinging to random people. ^^; She's really cool. Talked to her during Cosplay Idol about the wonder that is Tenipuri. *hearts* Saw her again on Sunday, and got a pic of her with Chris Sabat. Still can't get over her Seigaku outfit. Hope to see her again someday. ^^
Ritchie (at least I think that's your name ^^;) -- She was the other Ryoma cosplayer. I stole her Momo. ^^; Err... talked to her about many things on Saturday. What stands out the most in my mind was the fact that she's a fan of the Prince of Tennis musicals (Tenimyu) so we had a fangirling squee-fest. ^^ 'Twas nice to have another Ryoma. I really liked her. We did this fangirl-bonding thing. And to top it all off, she made a music video out of Tenipuri cosplay photos from the weekend. *hearts and refuses to let go* (Sidenote: It amuses me to no end that she recognized me for my LJ icons and not LELOLA.)
Leina -- She was the Momo cosplayer who I stole. You see, I was wearing Ryoma's secondary tennis outfit, and she was wearing Momo's secondary tennis outfit, and long story short, I glomped her to death. ^^; Ritchie and Chapel took photos of Leina and I late of Saturday for a MomoRyo photoshoot. Bwah~! ^^ (I have since stalked her found out that she runs a Beyblade site. You can see it here! ^_~)
Ryoga cosplayer -- You amused me greatly. Although, you made a lousy Sakuno. ^_~
The Eiji cosplayer -- I have no idea who you are (or even if you speak English), but I luv you~! Err... sorry for glomping you all day Sunday and for scaring you out of your mind. I just really like Eiji. ^^;;;
John -- I was in the dealer's room and this guy looked really familiar to me, so I told him this. He just smiled and said, "That's because I'm one of your husbands." It took me awhile, but he was an innocent bystander I married this past Canada Day in front to KikiWai. So, yeah, my 13th husband who I married randomly off the street a year ago worked at the con. ^^; It's a small world.
I know I'm missing people, but my hands want to fall off and I don't want to let them, so forgive me if you weren't mentioned. ><;
Photos. Photos. Photos. Oh, so many photos.
Like most conventions, I spent a huge amount of time at March TAC taking photos. So many many photos. I was surprised at all the interesting costumes. There were many more than at November TAC. ^^
After taking my third photo, some random kid asked as a joke for me to take his photo, so I did. ^^;
There was an awesome Hikaru no Go cosplayer there. He has the best hair ever. ^^ Sadly, he's blinking in the photo I got of him. ><; Ah well. Maybe next time?
Mekou-chan was there. She was behind some people, so I thought she was cosplaying as Baiken from Guilty Gear, but when I actually got a look at her costume, I realized she was cosplaying as Thief Bakura from Yu-Gi-Oh! [insert fangirling here] *hearts*
On Saturday, I happened to be in the hallway when Chris Sabat and Michael Dobson met for the first time. I took some photos, but found their behaviour more interesting. They acted like they were old friends even though it was the first time they had met. ^^
Coooooooookies!
On Friday night, before the convention, I needed a distraction. Since I already owed Amanda, P-chan and Ash cookies, I decided it was a good idea to start baking chocolate chip cookies around midnight. Three hours and about a hundred cookies later, I went to bed (See? I am somewhat normal).
Long story short, I took said cookies to the convention with me. I made plates especially for Ash, P-chan, Amanda and Super Uber Anime Guy, and then rest I packed on other plates and took to the convention.
At some point on Saturday, I started to give them away. Imagine a short kid dressed as the Prince of Tennis carrying around a plate of cookies screaming something along the lines of "Cookie?" or "Eat and grow fat!" and you've got the scenario in a nutshell. ^^;
So I gave out cookies to people, asked people to hold plates of cookie and then ran away and basically enjoyed watching everyone eat them. I'm happy they went over so well. Remind me to bring cookies to more conventions. ^^
By the end of the day, there was only one cookie left, so Shinji made a booby trap out of it.
This is the panel that doesn't end...
Saturday's voice actor panel nearly killed me. Possibly because it was almost three hours long!
I mean, I love voice actor panels and all, but by the end of it, I was hungry and my legs wanted to move really badly. Sitting for too long hurts, and causes people to get jumpy and loss interest. This is why it's suggested that classes at school only run for fifty minutes at a time. Errr... What I'm trying to say is that the panel was very very very very very very very oh-shoot-me-now long. On the plus side, the reason for the length was the voice actor's dedication to their fans and the fact that they made an effort to answer as many questions as possible. ^^
If you're wondering, the guests at this convention were Scott McNeil, Brad Swaile, Michael Dobson, and Chris Sabat.
Overall, the panel was pretty good. It was badly in need of a moderator, but it was good none-the-less. ^^ Hrmm, some highlights...
Scott told us about his work on the Scooby Doo 2 movie that recently came out in theatres. He plays the villain. He told us an amusing story about when they crew approached him and told him that they planned to hire a profession voice actor to dub his voice. According to Scott, his agent asked them if they saw the other half of Scott's resume.
There were references throughout the panel about Michael Dobson's clown story, so I asked what it was. When he was first starting out his voice work, he auditioned for the part of a clown. Thinking it was an acting role, he went out and rented a clown suit. When he arrived at the addition, he was happy to find that no one else was dressed as a clown. Thinking he'd get the part for sure, he smiled to himself. Well, that is until one of the other actors there came up in to him and asked him a question: "You know this is a voice role, right?"
*giggles* Have I ever told you how much I like Michael? This was the first time I met him, and wow, he blew me away. He's such a sweet, charming and witty guy. ^^
I asked Chris and Michael about pets. Chris used to hate cats, but he recently adopted a kitten and can't imagine living without it now. ^^
Chris also sung a lullaby to Trunks in Vegeta's voice, which was hilarious. Michael sung a song as Starscream, and all the lyrics were about overthrowing Megatron. *heart*
Someone asked about the voice actor's answering machine messages at home. Chris started playing with his cell phone and played his actual message for everyone. *grins* I love that man.
As for Brad, at some point someone asked Brad what his most embarrassing moment at a convention was. I couldn't help but think "uh oh". Brad's gone to five conventions. Of these five, I've gone to four of them.
Brad said he'd remedy his embarrassment and said "42". He explained he was asked at a previous convention what the meaning to life, the universe and everything was and didn't have an answer, but what he was asked again later in a panel with Kirby and Scott, they answered "42" right away.
At this point in time, I facepalmed. You see, it was during my interview with him that I asked him that question. ^^;
After that, I couldn't stop giggling. Oops?
At some point Rin, P-chan and these two giant inflatable giant hammers showed up.
As for the rest of the panel, it was interesting. Kevin kept me sane, and I love him for it.
After about three hours, the panel ended and turned into a massive autograph line to nowhere. Sakura and I bolted to get food.
Lizard Queen? Psssht. I'm the Prince of Tennis!
It doesn't take a genius to figure out that at this particular point in time, I'm a slightly little more than obsessed with Prince of Tennis. The series bit me in late December and hasn't let go since.
I want to mention that I originally wasn't going to cosplay as Ryoma at March TAC. I was originally going to cosplay Schildich (or "ShuShu" as he prefers to be called) from Weiss Kreuz. The costume was basically done a week before the con even started. But the Friday before the convention (Fwee! Story time!) Chapel and I went shopping for materials for one of Chapel's Anime North costumes. While visiting a fabric store, I randomly decided to dress up as Ryoma from Prince of Tennis and got the materials I needed off memory. Using them and scraps from the basement of no return, I spent the next week making the costume. It took way longer than it should've, possibly because I decided to make it freakish accurate and made his shirt, shoes, hat and tennis racket. Ah well. I've been calling myself the Prince of Tennis for months. Making this costume made sense.
Something to note about the Prince of Tennis fandom is that it is freakishly huge, but almost completely underground. As someone who is in said fandom right now, trust me when I say this is true.
In other words, I wasn't expecting much in the way of other Prince of Tennis cosplayers. My friend Ash was playing to play a mystery character (I completely missed her on Saturday ;___;), but beyond that, I wasn't expecting any.
So imagine my surprise while wandering through the dealer's room on Saturday morning to see another Prince of Tennis cosplayer. Not only that, but a slightly more obscure character. After blinking to double check that there was a Kamio cosplayer standing a few meters away, I glomped the poor girl. ^^;
We talked for a bit, both of us semi-amused at the occurrence of another Tenipuri (short form of writing Prince of Tennis) cosplayer. After some photo taking, I continued on my way.
A few minutes later, I spied something with my little eye that looked suspiciously like more Tenipuri cosplayers. Upon closer inspection, I found that there was another Ryoma and with her was a Momo!
So, being me, I glomped Momo and then the other Ryoma, after which I said hello. They were really friendly. ^^ I didn't learn their names until after the convention ended, but for the sake of this report, the other Ryoma's name was Ritchie and the Momo was Leina.
We took some photos and I mentioned the Kamio cosplayer, and Ritchie and I had a fangirl moment. I told her I'd keep on the look out for Kamio again. We also briefly discuss doing a MomoRyo photoshoot later on.
A few minutes later, I spotted a Kaidoh cosplayer, and glomped her randomly as well.
Soon after, I walked back into the lobby, only to see the Kamio cosplayer sitting down and hanging out with some people. I ran back into the dealer's room, and after quickly spotting Ritchie and Leina, I ran to them, screamed something about Kamio, to which Ritchie screamed "Where?", grabbed their arms and started running towards the lobby.
On the way, I spotted the Kaidoh cosplayer, and changed targets. I ran up to her, grabbed her with my free hand, and then pulled all three Tenipuri cosplayers into the lobby towards Kamio, who was utterly confused. Actually, I think the Kaidoh cosplayer was more confused, but that's another story.
Now with all five Tenipuri cosplayers united together, photos were taken and squeeing was done.
Knowing all this, pity Animerag, Peter and all the other poor souls that tried to hold conversations with me while all this was going on. ^^;
On a semi-related note, I drink Fanta normally, so I had a bottle of it in my bag. If you know Tenipuri, you'll probably get the reference.
Much later in the day, Chapel dragged my away for dinner. After which, we ended up hanging out under the escalators upstairs that we normally hang out under during CN Anime. I needed pics of my Ryoma costume, so Chapel took some photos and we held an impromptu photoshoot.
About half an hour later, Chapel was stuck taking photos again when I ran into Ritchie and Leina and stole Leina for a MomoRyo photoshoot. We're such dorks. No seriously. We did Power Ranger and Sailor Moon poses (the irony being that it isn't out of place in the Tenipuri fandom ^^;). We took a bunch of amusing photos. We were trying to find something to use as a ring box to do a pretend marriage proposal photo, but the closest thing we could find was a makeup compact, so we used it to take the photo anyway.
"Echizen, will you marry me?"
"Umm... Momo-sempai, that's a makeup compact."
It has since become somewhat of an inside joke just because of how amusing it was. ^^
Aftwards, more Tenipuri squeeage ensued.
And thus ends Saturday's Tennis adventure.
Note: No cosplayers were harmed in the making of this episode.
And you may glomp the husband.
As I mentioned earlier, before the convention started, Justin proposed to me. By the time the con rolled around, I had 28 husbands. Amanda was going to marry us on Saturday, but left before she did.
As Saturday was winding down, I ran into Vash and asked him if he'd like to be my 29th husband, and he agreed. ^^ Shinji preformed the ceremony, and I glomped my newest husband. *glomps*
Soon after, I repeated the same procedure with Justin, except since he proposed to me, there was no asking involved. ^^; Shinji preformed this ceremony too and I got to glomp my [insert dramatic music here] 30th husband! ^^
Knowing Justin was a huge Sailor Moon Live Action fan, I got him a little something and took this opportunity to give it to him. In Sailor Moon Live Action, Usagi knits a white scarf for Mamoru. Hoping he'd get the reference, I got him a white scarf as a weeding present. Not only did he get the reference, he was happy to receive it. ^^ Nya~! *glomps*
Saffi asked me to marry her. She knew I didn't have any wives yet. Since I want Eve to be my first wife, I told Saffi I'd marry her at Anime North for sure. Bwah~! So this year at Anime North, I will by marrying Saffi. ~_^
But wait. The marriage-ness doesn't end there. Just before Chapel dragged me away for dinner, I ran into Chris Sabat in the lobby and randomly asked him to marry me. He agreed and soon became my 31st husband. ^^
He recently had wedding photos taken himself, so he knew the proper way to pose for photos. You have no idea how much that amused me. ^^
And now you know the story of how I got three more husbands and a fiancée in an afternoon.
Cosplay Idol
Cosplay Idol was new. It was loosely based off the American/Canadian Idol TV shows, just with cosplay. It was one big fun amusing adventure.
It was an interesting idea, and oh so much fun to watch. Having the voice actors be the judging panel was a brilliant idea, but it was pretty clear that Brad and Scott felt a little awkward "bashing" any of the contestants and decided to stay uncharacteristically (for Scott, at least) quiet. Chris and Mike, however, got their time to shine as they rattled off voices and amusing antidotes. Chris was, without a doubt, the real star of the show. He went right into character and was utterly amazing as a Cosplay Idol panelist. He had the crowd in stitches. ^^
I think what else amuses me, is that save for two contestants and one group which I can only describe as "the four kids that were walking in front of us on the Skywalk", I knew all the contestants. ^^;
Justin and Abby preformed in a Sailor Moon number and Justin did much better than he gives himself credit for. ^^ I adored Larry's DragonBall Z sketch. As well, a Final Fantasy 10 sketch was sheer brilliance, and they recycled to boot!
At the end, the giant Gundam came, wooed the crowd and stole the crown. And the peasants rejoiced.
...or not.
Once more, without feeling.
Sunday was... well, a really really really slow day. Lots of stuff happened, but I mentioned most of it in my shoutout thingy, so I'll keep this short and sweet.
Sakura, Amanda and I did Get Backers cosplay on Sunday and dressed as Kadsuki, MakubeX and Juubei respectively. I found it amusing to be wearing Juubei to a con, since I promised myself I never would. But hey, I got to wear pants so I was happy.
I was tired and therefore lacked the energy to do something interesting until the con was almost over. I hung out with Ashley and Mackenzie, but the lack of, err... stuff made the day slow. More slow stuff happened. Have I mentioned how slow the day was? ><;
Remember kids, at conventions like TAC, you have to make your own fun. So we did.
I was late (again) on Sunday to find Amanda and most of the congers playing a giant game of "stella-ella-olla". I joined in the massive game and had fun. ^^
Hung out with Ashley and Mackenzie, and talked to Kevin with them. Tried to dance in heels. Failed. Ran off. Talked to Steph. Did more stuff. And umm… I'm not even going to try to summarize Sunday.
Oh, Eiji~!
As soon as I stepped onto con grounds on Sunday, Chapel ran up to me, told to breath and not freak out. Before I could worry, he told me that there was an Eiji cosplayer running around in full Seigaku gear. Let's think about this for a second.
Eiji is one of my favorite Prince of Tennis characters.
Eiji in full gear somewhere at the con.
Eiji, as in Kikumaru Eiji.
And so, the search began. I found the poor girl in the dealer's room (after I squeed over and bought DN Angel volume 10 and a new Fuji plushie), and upon spotting her, glomped her, scared her, took her picture and ran off, only to return thirty seconds later to glomp her again.
After glomped her for the eighth time in two hours, I finally realized that she was either very shy or didn't speak English. Eep?
At some point in the afternoon, Vash picked me up and we did this strength contest thing. Soon after it ended, I ended up glomping Eiji again. By the end of the day, I was surprised she wasn't signing a restraining order against me or something. But... but... she was Eiji! ^^;
Hanyaan~! ^^
And thus I scared another innocent bystander. I really should stop doing that. ><; It was Sunday and I was dressed as a Get Backers character, so I couldn't even use the Tenipuri cosplay thing as an excuse. Ah well. I loved her Eiji-ness~!
Note: No cosplayers were harmed in the making of this episode.
Can you tell this entire Prince of Tennis thing has replaced my actual con report? No? Good.
I also find it amusing that I haven't mentioned the fact that I was really really really really sick or the fact that I was practically mute at all throughout this entire report, but since I figure most people will see the words "Prince of Tennis" and start skimming, I think this is a good place to hide this little fact.
Eating. Isn't that the thing you do with food?
Half way through Sunday, a group of us went to get food and headed to "Meow Mix" at Union Station where we proceeded to sit in a circle on the floor and eat. Eating at a con. What a concept.
But yeah... it was fun. Definitely one of the most memorable happenings of the day. ^^;;;;
And so it ends... late as usual.
The convention was running late in Sunday, so the final panel on "how to make this convention better" was delayed. A group of us went regardless. It was very informative to most of the people there. I had sat through basically the same thing before, so yeah...
Part way through it, Vash came by and handed me his cosplay Vash gun with Scott McNeil's autograph on it. You should have seen my surprise when he told me he was giving it to me. Wow! Just... wow! Sankyuu, Vash! *glomps*
As for the panel, Amanda and I have volunteered ourselves for a bunch of things -- mainly panels. Not sure how many people would like to listen to us talk about cosplaying, websites, Gundam Wing, and this that and the other thing for hours, but hey, it should prove interesting.
As the con ended, I found my camera missing and had a mini-panic attack only to find that Amanda and Sakura had run off with it and my Fuji plushie. When I got it back, there were a bunch of "Runaway Fuji" photos on it. ><;
At the end of it all, a group of us left together, and all went our separate ways at Union with the promise of future get-togethers on the horizon.
The subway ride was entertaining considering it only consisted of the few colorful handful of us that were left. As such, there were many different sets of farewells.
I spent much of the journey watching Random Guy talk to Sakura and Chapel, and had a very nice conversation with Kevin, a fellow webmaster, who I learned feels the same way as I do on many issues. 'Twas a nice conversation. It made me feel less, for the lack of a better word, "unaccompanied".
Sadly soon after, we all parted ways until it was only Chapel and I left. March TAC had come and gone, but on the plus side, there were only a few short months until the next con.
Oh, the wonderful wonderful horror.
