PAN-CHAN'S REVIEWS

NARUTO
DUB EPISODE 29 -- "Naruto's Coutnerattack: Never Give In!"

  • I love parts of this episode. This episode marks the first time Naruto really goes Kyuubi with the power of the Ninetails, and it's so cool. Everyone is shocked to see him with such power, and he is even able to save Sasuke's life.

  • I loved the way Sakura yells at Sasuke in this episode. Rock on, girl.

  • There's a lot of foreshadowing in this episode. From Anko holding the back of her neck, to Orochimaru summoning a giant snake and even Naruto using the power of the Ninetails -- there are a lot of little things introduced in this episode that come to play a large role later. Not to mention, that this episode is the first time we really see Itachi in any detail (it's technically the second time we've seen him).

  • Speaking of Itachi, we got to hear his voice in this episode. I'm going to give it another chance, but right off the bat, I don't really like it. That voice + purple nail polish = DOES NOT COMPUTE.

  • This is the first episode when Sasuke does the voice over for the "next time on Naruto" bit. Most of it was about Itachi... only fifty-two episodes until he actually appears!

  • "Believe it" count: 0
