Her brother Ran took her name to avenge her and fights under the name Aya. Two years ago, on her sixteenth birthday, after discovering her parents dead, she was hit by Reiji Takatori’s car and fell into a coma.
Aya-chan spends most of the series in a coma, but still has a main role in the story. She’s the reason her brother become Aya and joined Weiss. It’s also for her sake that he kills Reiji Takatori and defeats Estet.
There is something special about Aya-chan. While in her coma, she didn’t age a day. For this reason, Estet kidnaps her to use in their mysterious ritual.
SAKURA TOMOE
Early in the series, Sakura was kidnapped and one of her kidneys was stolen. She looks remarkably like Aya-chan, and for this reason, Aya takes an interest in her.
She is the only non-Weiss member that Aya begins to trust. When Aya was finally going up against Reiji Takatori, Aya entrusted his sister in her care. This is more trust than he shows to anyone else throughout the entire series.
Sakura loves Aya, but he rejects her affection. Aya fights his feelings for Sakura since he knows that a murderer doesn’t deserve love.
Sakura, however, just wants to be with him. She even grows her hair out so that she’ll look more like Aya-chan in the hopes it’ll win his heart.
In later episodes, Sakura accidentally witnesses Aya commit murder on a mission. She becomes confused and is corrupted by Schwarz. Schwarz uses her against Weiss and she even ends up shooting Aya.
However, Sakura’s will is strong. When Aya-chan is being used for the ritual, she realizes that Aya lives to save his sister. To help make his dreams come true, Sakura substitutes herself for Aya-chan so that Aya can see his sister again.

Omi tells Oka that he was all alone until he met her, and meeting her has made him happy for the first time in his life. Oka is glad and they hug.
In the distance, Farfarello shots his gun at the pair and Oka begins to bleed. Omi panics and tells her not to die, but it’s too late to save her life. With her last breathe, Omi and Oka share one final kiss. Oka dies in Omi’s trembling arms.
Omi swears to avenge her death. However, Omi never really gets over Oka’s death and thinks about her throughout the entire series. Her memory is what keeps going, and so Oka is not really dead. She continues to live within Omi’s heart.
PERISHA
If you compared Weiss to Charlie’s Angels, Perisha is a lot like Charlie. Up until his death, Perisha is the one pulling all the strings behind Weiss. Perisha’s real identity is Shuichi Takatori—Reiji Takatori’s brother.
He fell in love with Kikuno; Reiji’s wife, and looked out for her. When Mamoru was kidnapped and Reiji refused to pay the ransom, Kikuno fell into a state of depression and committed suicide. Shuichi realized that he had to do something to stop his brother from hurting anyone else. Shuichi knew that Reiji didn’t care about Mamoru, and so Shuichi saved Mamoru from the kidnappers.
Reiji made him chief of police, and with his knowledge and power, Shuichi took on the identity of Perisha and Kritiker—an intelligence organization—and also created Weiss—a team of four assassins assigned to ruin Reiji’s plans to take over Japan, and eventually kill him.
Perisha choose each of the four members of Weiss for their connection to Reiji Takatori. After he saved Mamoru, Mamoru was traumatized and blanked out his own memories. Perisha gave him a new name and identity as Omi and made him apart of Weiss.
The irony of this decision doesn’t come to light until just before Perisha’s death. Perisha asks Reiji why he didn’t save Mamoru, and Reiji reveals that Mamoru isn’t his son—he’s Perisha’s. By making Omi a part of Weiss, Perisha turned his own son into a murderer. Before the shock sets in, Reiji shoots Perisha.
On his deathbed, Perisha gives Weiss the order to kill Reiji. He also smiles at Omi and tells him that he’s proud he chose Omi’s name. However, Perisha never gets the chance to tell Omi the truth. Perisha dies in Omi’s arms, and Omi never learns that Perisha was his father.
MANX
Manx is Perisha’s loyal and trustworthy assistant. She assists him with data collection from Kritiker and informs Weiss of their missions. She also spends a lot of time keeping an eye on the four members of Weiss and reports this information back to Perisha.
After Perisha’s death, Manx is replaced with Burman, however, she still keeps a close eye on the four assassins and lends them a hand whenever she can.
BOTAN
Botan is an agent working for Kritiker. After Perisha’s death, Botan shows up in the flower shop with the goal of regrouping Weiss. After Aya decides to quit Weiss, Botan convinces him to go back and help his friends.
Botan can be seen making paper airplanes. He used to make them for his daughter, but she was kidnapped by a group similar to Estet. Botan’s wife was murdered on the same day his daughter disappeared. He joined Kritiker in the hopes that he could prevent other people from feeling the pain he has.
Botan dies sacrificing himself to save Aya’s life, and in doing so, makes Aya realize his place is within Weiss.
BURMAN
After Perisha’s death, Burman replaces Manx and takes on the role of informing Weiss of their missions. She’s a top Kritiker agent, but unlike Manx, she spends a lot of her time organizing Kritiker operations.
MASAFUMI TAKATORI
Second son of Reiji Takatori, Masafumi is the man behind Schreient. He treats each of the four girls as his daughters Masafumi is also obsessed with genetic experimentation. It’s his hope that he’ll eventually become immortal, but he merely turns himself into a monster.
HIROFUMI TAKATORI
Hirofumi is the oldest son of Reiji Takatori and handles many of his business affairs. When Omi was young and still going by the name Mamoru, Hirofumi used to play with him. Hirofumi was devastated when Mamoru went missing, but even though he’s not as deranged as Masafumi, Hirofumi is still evil. He attempts to convince Omi to join him and betray Weiss, but is eventually killed by Omi.
REIJI TAKATORI
Reiji Takatori’s dream is to become to unquestioned ruler of Japan, and to do so, he’ll do whatever it takes to remove other people out of his way. Reiji Takatori can be blamed for almost all the problems faced by Weiss. Thinking only about himself, Reiji has killed numerous people.
Reiji Takatori is the one responsible for the death of Aya’s parents, and he was in the car that hit his sister. He’s the one that turned Kase against Ken, and it’s his fault that Asuka was shot. As for Omi, he is thought to be Omi’s father. When Mamoru was born, Reiji realized his wife was in love with his brother Shuichi and that Mamoru was Shuichi’s son. He arranged for Mamoru to be kidnapped and refused to pay his ransom. This drove his wife to suicide.
Responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocent people, Reiji Takatori is as evil as they come. After he takes control of Japan, Weiss is sent to kill him. Vengeance is served as Aya is the one to put a sword through his heart; ending his killing spree forever.
ESTET
Estet (sometimes called SS) is an evil organization behind all the evil Weiss faces. They used Reiji Takatori and Schwarz as pawns in their plan to take over the world. ‘Estet’ is the title given to the three people who run the organization who remain somewhat of a mystery throughout the entire series. These three leading members wield much power and control armies of men willing to carry out their wishes. These three members also appear to have telekinetic powers and can literally stop the hearts of anyone who apposes them.
As the series progresses, Estet plans to perform a ritual to bring back ‘The One’ and gain enough power to take over the world. However, they fail to realize how powerful Schwarz has become, and they also make the fatal error of underestimating Weiss.
