_________Misc
This costume was rather ghetto. By that I mean I didn't spend nearly enough time on it. The skirt is inaccurate, but I found it in my closet, so what do you expect? *heh*
I bought the jacket at Value Village and added gold buttons to it. I also made Gogo's "Tokyo International" patch by rendering a version on my computer, printing it out on iron-on paper, ironing it onto white fabric and then using fusible webbing to iron the crest onto the jacket.
The red tie is a strip of red fabric I cut out a few days before. I found the socks in my room and I ripped the felt off the shoes from my Ryoma costume to make Gogo's plain white shoes.
The hardest part was the mace, which in my opinion turned out rather badly. I used styrofoam as a base and glued chain to it. I made a metal anchor in the top for the main chain and used cardboard for the knobby detail. The band of spikes was made out of craft foam and spikes I stole off a spiked collar. The handle is some part of a socket-wrench set I stole from the basement. I spray-painted it at first, and learned the hard way that spray-paint eats styrofoam, so then I switched to acrylic paint. That's why the mace was slightly deformed. ><; Ah well.
The easiest (but most expensive) part of this costume was the wig, which looked better on me that expected. ^^;
I wore this costume the Sunday on CN Anime. The Kill Bill group dwindled down to myself (Gogo), Sakura (O-ren), Bianco (Crazy 88) and Kenney (Buck). We ran into Louise there who was dressed as the "bride" as well as a few other random Kill Bill cosplayers. As for Chapel, he never finished his costume. Thus, we renamed our little group the "Kill
