This is a costume that is a harder to make that it looks. It took way too long. I made all the patterns myself, so yes, this costume took awhile. Thankfully, I was able to use a sewing machine. ^^

The red part of the outfit was actually quite complicated. I know you can't see it, but his top isn't like a normal martial arts top. The collar is strange and opens in a weird way. I copied the design of my martial arts uniform and altered it a bit to get the general look. To make the collar, I made a belt of fabric and sewed it on.

The sleeves are extra large just like Inuyasha's. I even left the gaps near the shoulders. I wore my white martial arts top underneath the red top I made. It worked out quite well. ^^

The black lines at the end of his sleeves are extra large stitches with black wool. It gave the perfect effect, ne?

Actually, the top was more trouble than it was worth. The first time I made it, the sleeves were about three inches two long. And here's a little know fact about the top: if you turn it inside out, it's full of soap lines and weird seams.

The pants were a pain to make. I had never made pants before, so I had no idea what I was doing. I needed to make the pants big and puffy so they look like Inuyasha's. Also, since this doubled as a Halloween costume and it's freezing around Halloween, I made the pants big enough that I could wear a pair of jeans underneath. The pants didn't come out that well, but I'm not complaining.

The belt came out well. Of course, it wasn't until Halloween that I figured out how to tie it properly.

The necklace was tricky. I went to a local craft store and picked up a few packages of rosary beads. As for the "teeth", I used model magic to make the beads. I laced the beads on to embroidery thread.

The wig was one tricky to make, to say the least. Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a long white wing with bangs? Ugh. Needless to say, I didn't find one, so the wig I used was improvised.

Believe it or not, I bought I wizard's wig. It was the only white wig I could find that was long enough and it came with a beard and mustache. *sweatdrops* The problem was that it had no bangs and was a piece of garbage. So, I improvised. I altered the beard and hot glued it to the front of the wig. I then cut it to make the bangs.

Since this wig was so cheesy, you could see my dark hair right through it. To solve this problem, I lined the inside of the wig with white felt. You can still see the cap under the horrible plastic hair, but it's a lot better now.

The ears were made out of white felt and were glued on using the ye old glue gun.

My hair actually doesn't fit under this wig. I tie it in a ponytail and hide it under my outfit for it to work.

I bought and painted long nails to use as claws, but they didn't turn out so well. Meh.

Overall, this costume turned out great. I'm very proud of it. ^^ And it's surprisingly strong. Not only did it last a dance and not fall apart, but I wore it to school, trick-or-treating, and even to parties. *grins*

Osuwari!

*falls on head*

_________Misc

This costume has turned out to be one of my favorite and most used costumes (it's also the one my friends like to borrow the most ^^;). I've worn it countless times for countless reasons. I've even worn this costume to university. ^^;

Before Nimbus, the costume was washed and shoved into a dryer. ><; The wool I used on the sleeves shrunk. Before Nimbus, it was replaced with thin strips of hockey tape stuck together. It makes the costume feel surprisingly more authentic. ^^

Speaking of Nimbus, it's really fun to run around a Disney hotel dressed as InuYasha terrorizing FedEx workers when you should be terrorizing the Harry Potter fans. ^^;
