This was one of those spur of the moment costume ideas made in no time and in no way accurate. Becky, Kevin and I were going to go cosplay at the CNE, and I wanted to go as Yugi without wearing the entire pharaoh outfit. So I decided to make the "Japanese cosplayer" version of Yami Yugi's outfit. It's not inaccurate... it's just missing the jacket and has black pants. ^^;
_________Misc
Considering I already had the wig and puzzle made, this costume was a lot easier than it should've been. I used the wig and new and improved puzzle from my Pharaoh Atemu costume. I put the chain back on the puzzle to switch it back to Yami Yugi mode.
I bought the tacky black pants and Value Village. I also got the shirt there, but it was a turtleneck, so I had to alter it quite a bit. Since I didn't have time to Queen Street for the leather accessories (not to mention how much they'd cost), I decided to make his jewelry myself. I used some leftover black fabric from the Kano costume I made, and bought some belt buckles. I also bought a pack of 100 "solid brass fasteners" at a business store (I got the idea to use them after Sakura used them on her Ed arm).
I spray painted the belt buckles and the fasteners silver and attached them to the belts, collar and armbands I made. And ta-da! I had my very own ghetto version of a Yami Yugi costume.
A few weeks back, I bought a duel disk, so I wore that as well. Best $30 prop ever. ^^
Becky, Kevin and I went to the CNE (Canadian National Exhibition) in costume. Kevin and Becky went as Inuyasha and Kagome, respectfully, and it was a blast to walk around the grounds and be recognized by people. ^^ The kids seemed to really love our costumes. The only setback about cosplaying Yami Yugi in public is that kids ask you to duel. I told them I was on vacation. ^_~

We stopped for photos throughout the day. A huge thank you to Becky and Kevin for taking pictures of my costume. *huggles*
